An aficionado of old vintages of great wines like Burgundys and Bordeauxs with remarkable longevity, Klaus Gasser has certainly had some practice in the wine industry. Born and raised in Alto Adige, Gasser attended a technical college, where he specialized in viticulture and winemaking from 1981 to 1986. He cut his teeth at a winery in Germany taking care of organoleptic tests, wine making and vineyard management from 1988 to 1994. In 1994, Gasser began working at Cantina Terlano, for what he believed would be one harvest as their second winemaker. However, after tasting the complete wine archive with older vintages dating back to 1954, he fell in love with the wines and the unique terroir and decided to stay. Gasser has been Terlano’s sales and marketing director since 1996, promoting the Terlano wines all over the world.
