Philibert de Vregille grew up in Burgundy. At 20 years old, he joined the business school of Dijon to study international trade and in the same period, completed a two-year internship at Maison Louis Jadot. At 22 years old, he joined the University of Bordeaux IV to deepen his knowledge of international wine trade. From 2005 to 2007, he carried out internships related to his training: La Passion des Terroirs (Lucien Lurton vineyards) in Bordeaux, and Domecq Bodegas in San Sebastian (Spain), CVBG-Dourthe-Kressmann in Bordeaux.
In 2007, he was hired by Groupe Thiénot Bordeaux Champagne (formerly CVBG-Dourthe-Kressmann) as their Export Manager based in Bordeaux. He then moved to New York in 2009 to manage the Group’s wine portfolio on the East Coast and more precisely on New York. He also represented a range of Argentinian wines in partnership with Michel Rolland (Clos de Los Siete, Diamandes) and Eduardo Chadwick’s Chilean wines (Arboleda & Seña).
In 2013, he once again joined Maison Louis Jadot in Burgundy as their Worldwide Export Manager, overseeing 36 countries in total. In 2019, he took over the USA and Canada markets while still maintaining some of his European markets.
